Like all higher studies within the LMD system,  education is under the applied license framework, which later gives access to a professional master.

The Licenses

Within the LMD framework, the education is meant to first develop the basic knowledge to grasp the tempo-spatial dimensions of the Tunisian heritage in a Mediterranean scale. The subjects taught are about art history and civilizations in addition to the study of natural environment and landscapes.
Furthermore, the education is consolidated by languages, computing, infography, multimedia, techniques of photography, art drawing, cartography…

The I.S.M.P offers three applied licenses:

Applied license in techniques of Documentation and Promotion of Heritage (DPH)
Within this license, instruction pivots on two units of core education (U.E.P) relative to knowledge of geographical and historical framework of Tunisia, the civilizations, and archeology together with Tunisian and Mediterranean arts. The DPP training is equally based on two U.E.P including the techniques of communication and expression, the techniques of inventory as well as legislation and  management of heritage.
Applied license in Arts and Techniques of heritage Decoration (ATD)
It is centered around theoretical fundamental instruction in art history, material sciences as well as art and design and practical teaching in workshops of molding, mosaics, stucco…
Applied license in Valorization of Natural Heritage (VNH)
This license is mainly targeted at the valorization and preservation of natural heritage. It comprises fundamental units not only  in natural resources, environment and landscapes  but also in management and enhancement of natural heritage. The fourth U.E.P includes the techniques of communication and expression.
Likewise, the three licenses involve the units of cross-disciplinary subjects in common with all the LMD  system licenses and the units of optional instruction specific to each branch.
The Masters

Currently, two masters of specialization are suggested to the students holding an applied license  pertaining to heritage craftworks, whether cultural or natural.

The professional master of Heritage applied on craftwork
Education within this two-year master revolves around four semester units relative to an appropriate practical and theoretical training in mosaics and painting, in stucco and molding as well as in graphic arts and material sciences. This education is well-accomplished by an optional instruction in English and in TIC. --
The professional master in touristic promotion of heritage
The two years of this master are divided into one year of general education resting on four core units and an optional one  and a second year in which specialization in touristic promotion of cultural and natural heritage is ensured.
A third professional master concerns graduate students, allowing them to benefit from a specific education on heritage valorization.
The professional master in heritage tourism which concerns the ancient regime students (bac + 4)
The syllabus is taught in two semesters of general education. It fosters the promotion of heritage tourism may it be natural or cultural.
